Kyla investigates smugglers. Billionaire CEO COREY MASON arrives on Mars, hoping to steer the colony.

Ray attends an emergency meeting of the Bradbury Assembly. BIllionaire COREY MASON shows up and offers the help of the Daedalus Corporation. Ray explains that water is the vital ingredient in all of the shortages of food, air, and building supplies. Ray proposes cancelling classes for all of Bradbury’s college students and high school seniors to help with a labor shortage.
Garrett meets ZARI, a college girl who is recruiting for the Worker’s Alliance.
TROY ADAMS arrives and is aware that the colony is under-policed and determined to make money in organized crime. Troy meets VENANCIO ALCANTARA, Tala’s father who now runs the smuggling ring that he inherited from Saetang. Venancio refuses to make Troy part of his gang.
Garrett and Polly learn their classes are canceled and they will have to choose jobs to help Bradbury cope with the emergency. Polly announces she will be a long-haul rover driver bringing water down from the North Pole. Garrett says their parents will be furious she has chosen a dangerous job.
Kyla and Henry interview Venancio about smuggling. Venancio pretends to know nothing about it, but promises to arrange for Kyla to interview his employees about the topic.
Troy tries to con restaurant employees out of some high-priced steak, but they see through his scam and beat him up. Kyla and Henry interview the manager of Venancio’s smuggling ring. When Henry notices clues that indicate the smuggling ring is still active, the criminals panic and attack Kyla and Henry. Kyla and Henry battle the criminals and arrest them.
Troy blackmails Ray about a secret from Ray’s past on Earth. Troy wants a big box of black-market steaks that he can take to impress Venancio.
